The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can look forward to learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
