Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden important achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously consider extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
